Printing error notice — label correction programme. A small batch (fewer than 1% of units) printed ISO-12312-1 instead of ISO-12312-2. The glasses themselves are unaffected. We are replacing every affected pair, free of charge, with a corrected unit.

Label correction programme

ISO marking
replacement request

This was our printing error, not yours. The corrected pair carries the right marking and uses the exact same certified filter.

What happened

A run of packaging printed ISO-12312-1 (a legacy standard for reusable optical equipment) where it should have read ISO 12312-2 (the solar filter standard your glasses meet). The filter material, transmission, and protective performance are identical across both batches — only the reference code on the printed label differs.

Correct marking

Reads ISO 12312-2 — no action needed.

Affected typo

Reads ISO 12312-1 — request a replacement below.

What this means for you

Your glasses are safe

The filter material, UV/IR blocking, and visible-light transmission are identical to the correctly-labelled batch. There is no performance difference whatsoever.

Same filter, corrected print

When your replacement arrives you can hold both pairs up. You will see the same filter — the only difference is the printed reference text now reads ISO 12312-2.

If you feel uneasy

Simply set the affected printed pair aside and use the replacement when it arrives. We completely understand and support that choice.

How to request

  1. Fill in the form

Your name, email, and order reference take about 30 seconds.

  2. Attach two photos

A photo of the glasses showing the marking, and your order confirmation or invoice.

  3. We verify and ship

Once verified we dispatch a corrected pair within 48–72 hours and email you the tracking number.
